Working on my Husband's Vest

I'm making a vest for my husband...it needs to be very warm, thick, waterproof, felted and dark...those were my husband's requests...so I'm using 4 different skeins of LionBrand Fisherman's Wool Yarn...I've had them for quite awhile and didn't know what to use them for, but this was the perfect project...They're a bit to scratchy for my liking, but my man will like it just fine.
It needs to be waterproof, so I'm going to felt it...and make it very oversized so the felting will shrink it to fit.
Needs to be thick, so I'm using those 4 skeins as 1.
And it needs to be dark...so I will be dying the finished project with a natural Black Walnut Dye that my husband and I made together just for this.
Anyways, since it needs to be so made so much larger than the finished product it is taking quite some time...here is what I have done so far.

of course the tiny dog thought it was a bed for him the instant i laid it down. : )
Still have to make the front...This part took so long...but i'm faster now.
I'll keep this updated when I get any further.

HomeMade Pretzels!!!!

unfortunately didn't get any pictures after baking...cause they got all ate up too fast!
